These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://leafstash.eco (the “Site”). This Site is owned and operated by Leafstash Inc. (“Leafstash”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Site provides corporate software as a service.

By using this Site, and services, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

    1.  Definitions

  • “Account” means the account you create to access our Services.
  • “Content” means any information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, or other materials.

  1. Account Creation

    1. To use our Services, you must create an Account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your Account1 and to keep this information updated.
    2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account login information and for all activity that occurs under your Account.
    3. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your Account.
    4. You must be at least 16 years old to create an Account.

  2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site and Services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the Site and Services. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Violating any applicable laws or regulations.
  2. Uploading or transmitting viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
  3. Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Site, Services, or other users’ accounts.
  4. Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Site or Services.
  5. Using the Site or Services to send unsolicited email (spam).
  6. Collecting or harvesting any personally identifiable information, including account names, from the Site or Services.
  7. Using the Site or Services for any commercial purposes without our express written consent.

  1. Intellectual Property

All content on our Site, including images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files, and the overall design, is the property of Leafstash Inc. and its creators. You may not use this content without our written permission.

  1. Sale of Services

Leafstash offers a Receipt Management Platform with both free and paid plans.

Receipt Management Platform

Free plan

The Leafstash Free Plan provides users with access to basic receipt management features at no cost. However, it is subject to certain limitations:

  • Storage limits: 2GB of total storage space, including receipt data and receipt sources (email, images, etc.).
  • OCR scans: Limited to 5 OCR scans per day for extracting receipt data.
  • Limited features: The Free Plan does not include:
    • Advanced reporting
    • Long-term archival storage
    • Additional export formats (beyond basic PDF or CSV)

  • App access: Users can access stored receipts via the mobile app or web browser for receipts uploaded within the last 90 days.
  • Data retention:
    • While data up to 1 year old can be exported, receipts older than 90 days may not be accessible within the app.
    • You can still download, save, or export your data at any time.
  • Service modifications: Leafstash reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the Free Plan at any time.

Paid plans

Leafstash offers various paid subscription plans designed to provide expanded features, storage, and premium support.

1. Standard Paid Plans
  • Expanded data retention: Access receipts within the app for up to 1 year from the date of upload.
  • Higher storage limits: Increased storage capacity, typically 10GB or more, depending on the plan.
  • Higher OCR scan limits: Upgraded OCR processing limits (e.g., up to 100 scans per day).
  • Additional export formats: Ability to export data in various formats (PDF, CSV, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
  • Basic customer support: Access to standard support with response time within 48 hours.
2. Premium and Higher-Tier Plans
  • Long-term data retention: Access receipts stored beyond 2 years directly within the app.
  • Virtually unlimited storage: High storage capacity (e.g., 50GB or more).
  • Virtually unlimited OCR scans: No daily scan limits for receipt processing and extraction.
  • Advanced reporting & analytics:
    • Expense breakdowns
    • Tax-related insights
    • Business spending trends
  • Business features:
    • Multi-user collaboration (team access)
    • Custom receipt processing rules
    • API integrations for accounting software
  • Priority customer support:
    • Faster response times (within 24 hours or less).
    • Live chat and dedicated support.

General terms for all paid plans

  • Subscription billing:
    • Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis.
    • Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • Plan changes:
    • Users can upgrade or downgrade their plan at any time.
    • Downgrading to the Free Plan may result in loss of stored data exceeding Free Plan limits.
  • Account suspension:
    • If a subscription is not renewed or payment fails, access to paid features may be restricted.
    • Data beyond Free Plan limits may be archived or deleted after a grace period.

    1. You agree to pay for the selected paid plan in advance according to the pricing and payment terms on the Site.
    2. Refunds: We may modify, reject, or cancel your order for a paid plan if necessary. If we cancel your order after processing your payment, we will refund the amount you paid. If you cancel your subscription to a paid plan, you may be eligible for a prorated refund based on the unused portion of your subscription period. Please monitor your payment account to verify receipt of any refund.

  1. Subscriptions

Your subscription automatically renews, and you will be automatically billed until you cancel. To cancel, please follow these steps: Contact customer support at [email protected].

We accept the following payment methods:

By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge the amount due to your chosen payment method.

We may cancel or reverse your transaction if we believe it violates any law or these Terms.

  1. Refunds

We provide refunds for services as follows: Refunds are prorated based on the month or days remaining in the billing cycle at the time of cancellation.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE PROVIDE THE SITE AND SERVICES “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE OR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

  1. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEAFSTASH AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, SUBSIDIARIES, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.11

  1. Indemnity

Except where prohibited by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Leafstash and its directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use12 of our Site or your violation of these Terms.13

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of 1  the Site and Services shall be instituted exclusively in the federal courts of Canada, or the courts of the Province of British Columbia, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

  1. Dispute Resolution

If you and Leafstash cannot resolve a dispute through informal discussion, you agree to submit the issue first to non-binding mediation and then to binding arbitration if mediation fails. The arbitrator must be a neutral party acceptable to both you and Leafstash.

You and Leafstash retain the right to bring an action in small claims court and to bring an action for injunctive relief or intellectual property infringement.

  1. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Leafstash regarding your use of the Site and Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be removed, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

  1. Changes

We may amend these Terms from time to time to comply with the law and reflect changes in our operations or user expectations. We will notify you of changes by email or by posting a notice on our Site.
